North Hampton Volunteer Fire Department Station 165

Anyone who is at least 16 years of age but not yet  18 years of age may apply for membership.  If accepted, you will go through a probationary period before becoming a full member.  Junior Firefighters need to be willing to train on a bi-weekly basis to prepare themselves for becoming a Firefighter.  Various classes are available at the Allegheny County Fire Academy, and in-house training sessions will perpare the Junior Firefighter for his/her future in the fire service.  Some activities are limited due to age restrictions.  Anyone who is willing to learn, willing to volunteer their time to help others in need and is between the age of 16 and 18 are encouraged to apply for membership.

Anyone who is at least 21 years of age and has a clean driving record may apply for membership.  If accepted, you will go through a probationary period before becoming a member.  The driver / operator class of membership is designed for men/women who want to help the community, but may not be interested in learning the firefighting aspect of the service.  Driver operators will be required to train on the vehicles, pumps and truck.  They will need to be able to preform all essential driver duties at a fire scene.  Anyone who is willing to learn how to operate the vehicles and willing to volunteer their time to help others in need is encouraged to apply for membership.
